Video Diary: Stockholm

Oct 13, 2015

Keeping other video clips to myself though.

*wink wink*

Yes, yes. My Stockholm trip ended almost two months ago, but until now it still feels surreal. If you told me at the start of the year that I was going to Stockholm, or touch the floors of Amsterdam airport, I would've told you that it will never happen. I've never dreamed of a trip to Europe, not even Sweden. My eyes and heart were set to work hard and earn lots of money so I could live in Japan, like one of the boys in a Haruki Murakami book.

But during the second month of working for Hager Media, I had a meeting with the Photowall team from Stockholm and they told us that they were sponsoring us a trip to where their company is based. I didn't believe any of that, not until I was traveling back and forth to Manila to process the renewal of my passport and my Schengen visa. August 14 came and I was on my way to Dramanila where I slept at a hostel I didn't like (shame on you, Junction Hostel). The day after, I woke up to the day when it all finally sank in, that I was going to Sweden and laying over in Amsterdam.

Other things I can't get over:
Never have I ever experienced a baggage delay. Imagine my stress when I arrived at Arlanda Airport and found no traces of my luggage. I only had a little messenger bag with me, and in it were notebooks, passport, IDs, phones, and a camera -- no chargers, no clothes, no underwears. I tried my best to not think about it and just bought clothes from H&M sale racks. It arrived anyway, so the whole trip was all good.

Here is a video diary of that trip,
because I can no longer put into words the happiness and other things I felt while I was there:

These clips were taken after working hours at Photowall
I have lots of clips from my phone but I decided to keep them to myself.

I'd also like to thank V, who took me to the non-touristy places.
